Terms of Service — Residency Compass

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Residency Compass (the "Tool"), a preference-analysis tool offered under the Residency Match brand. By creating an account, using the Tool as a guest, or purchasing paid access, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Tool.

As described in our Privacy Policy, two companies are involved: SpeakEasy Consulting LLC ("SpeakEasy," "we," "us"), a Puerto Rico limited liability company, creates and operates the Tool. Closing Time Hub LLC ("Closing Time Hub"), a New Mexico limited liability company, is the merchant of record for paid access.

The Tool is intended for adults engaged in professional and educational development, primarily international medical graduates and medical students preparing to apply to residency. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Tool.

Residency Compass produces a personalized ranking from the preferences and data you enter, using a transparent mathematical model. It is a decision-support tool for your own consideration — it is not medical, legal, immigration, or professional advice, and it does not guarantee any Match outcome, interview, or offer. Scores are only as good as the data you and the community enter. You are solely responsible for your application decisions and for verifying any program information before relying on it.

Some features (autofill, the Express Decision Tiebreaker draft, and explanations) use AI to help you gather or draft information faster. AI-assisted output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is always a starting point for you to verify, never a final answer.

You can use core features as a guest, with your data stored only in your browser. Creating an account lets you save your priorities and rank list to your profile. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. One account per person.

Residency Compass is offered on a free tier and a paid tier ("Compass Pro"). Individuals who have purchased the Residency Match program receive paid access at no additional charge. Paid access is sold by Closing Time Hub as merchant of record through checkout on residencymatch.academy, using Stripe and PayPal as payment processors. Billing, invoicing, and refund requests are handled per the terms shown to you at checkout at the time of purchase.

You agree not to:

• Use the Tool for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defraud, or impersonate any person or organization.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Tool, other users' data, or any system or network connected to the Tool.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Tool.
• Create multiple accounts, or use guest mode repeatedly, to circumvent free-tier limits or usage restrictions.

In addition, you may not, and may not permit or assist any third party (including any automated agent, bot, or AI system acting on your behalf or under your instruction) to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive or reconstruct the source code, underlying algorithms, scoring methodology, weighting logic, or any other component of the Tool, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• Systematically extract, scrape, crawl, or harvest data, outputs, or scores from the Tool through automated means, including for the purpose of training, calibrating, or validating a competing product or service; or
• Use the Tool, or any data or output obtained from it, to build, train, or improve a product that competes with the Tool.

We may suspend or terminate access, and pursue any remedy available at law, for any violation of this section.

The Tool, including its design, mathematical model, scoring methodology, software, and branding, is owned by SpeakEasy or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to the Tool beyond the limited right to use it as intended. You retain any rights you have in the information you submit; by using the Tool you grant us a limited license to use that information solely to provide and improve the Tool, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Tool is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Tool will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any program data or scoring output is accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpeakEasy and Closing Time Hub will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, opportunities, or Match outcomes, arising from your use of the Tool. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Tool will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Tool at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, the Tool, or our business interests. You may stop using the Tool and request account deletion at any time via support@speakeasy-consulting.com.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect when posted, with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Tool after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and the state and federal courts located in New Mexico will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Tool.
